Thomas Finals 2024 Semifinal results: China and Indonesia set up final
China beat Malaysia as Indonesia outclassed Chinese Taipei in the Thomas Cup 2024 Semifinal, setting up an anticipated final at Chengdu, China.
Aaron Chia and Sooi Woo Yik fought hard against the host and pulled some hope back for Malaysia, but China’s aces Li Shi Feng and Shi Yu Qi and doubles He Ji Ting/ Ren Xiang Yu proved too strong for the rest.
Indonesia displayed their prowess by winning all three games in a row against Chinese Taipei, securing the last ticket to the final with a convincing performance.
The 2024 Thomas and Uber Cup, officially known as TotalEnergies BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2024, will be the 33rd edition of the Thomas Cup and the 30th edition of the Uber Cup.

Thomas Cup Final 2024: China vs Indonesia
All roads lead to this as two badminton giants will clash in the latest episode of the sport’s rivalry.
History is in the making as 14-time champions Indonesia and 10-time winners China gear up for their seventh showdown in a Thomas Cup final.
The record is currently even, and China will be eager to avenge their defeat at Indonesia in their last meeting in Aarhus.
With the two teams also making the Uber Cup final, it will be only the second time after 1986 that China and Indonesia are contesting both finals of the same edition.
In the semifinals on Saturday, Indonesia were mighty impressive in shutting out Chinese Taipei 3-0. At the same time, China avoided the pitfalls of a fifth match against Malaysia.
