The Chinese duo are undoubtedly the number 1 women’s pair. And their trophy cabinet is a living testament to that.

Having played together since 2014, they have won a record 19 professional tour titles, and have won a total of six major titles in their career.

In 2017, they get their first-ever World Number 1 ranking on the strength of their first world title in Glasgow as a fourth seed. Having been the yearend top pair for four of the last five years, they are now in the current 14-week run as the number 1 tandem, having won their second world title in Huelva in straight games against second-rank Lee So-Hee and Shin Seung-Chan of South Korea.

Chen had prior experience in Uber Cup glory in 2016, as she won all her three ties when paired with Tang Jinghua and Tang Yua Ting, with the latter clinching their then-14th title at home in Kunshan.

Two years later, Jia have joined Chen in Bangkok for their defense of the Cup, and although they have won all four rubbers, China lost to the hosts in the semifinal.
Their crowning glory came in 2020 in Aarhus, where they won all of their four ties as they regained the Uber Cup by dethroning Japan in the final, highlighted by their three-game marathon against Fukushima and Matsumoto.
