This year, the biennial international badminton championship, sponsored by M88 Mansion, contested by the men and women’s national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Uganda and Mexico will make their Uber Cup debuts at the BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2024 in Chengdu, China, following the withdrawals of South Africa and Spain.

The additional withdrawals of France and Scotland from the Uber Cup (replaced by Hong Kong, China, and Singapore) and France from the Thomas Cup (replaced by fellow first-timers Czechia) complete the updated list of qualifiers from the original 32.

This will be the 6th straight time that Indonesia and Thailand have been drawn into the same group in the Thomas Cup since the tournament has been run in the current format since 2014 (2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.)
