SRIKANTH SPOILS ZII JIA DEEP RUN BID ON BIRTHDAY

Malaysian tandem Choong Hon Jian and Haikal Nazri outplayed Tailand’s Pharanyu Kaosamaang and Worrapol Thongsanga, 21-12, 21-17.

Hon Jian and Nazri needed just 33 minutes to oust their Thai counterparts as they advanced to the men’s doubles quarterfinals.

The win set up the Malaysian duo to face Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahevi of Indonesia.
