SHI, WANG CLAIM FINAL MATCHES TO HELP CHINA SWEEP TITLES

Shi and Wang claimed their final matches to help China sweep the two major titles in the tournament.

Furthermore, Shi outplayed Anders Antonsen of Denmark, 21-18, 21-14, in a battle of the top two men’s singles shuttlers.

Moreover, Wang made it a double for China after she pulled off a 19-21, 21-19, 21-11 decision over Han Yue in the women’s final.

Shi fended off repeated challenges from Antonsen in both sets to cheers from the home crowd at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.

The Chinese world No.1 thus finally won another major title since the Indonesia Open in June.

CHINESE, DANISH, KOREAN DUOS SPLIT DOUBLES TITLES

Furthermore, Chinese, Danish, and Korean duos split the three doubles titles at stake.
