BWF World Championships update: Lakshya Sen, the 2022 Commonwealth Games men’s singles champion, kept going his good streak on Monday, defeating Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus of Denmark in straight games to advance to the second round of the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships 2022.
Sen defeated Vittinghus, 21-12, 21-11, in his opening encounter after returning from his debut in Spain with a bronze medal the previous year.
The 21-year-old Sen debuted in the main stage in 2016 and has won ten career men’s singles’ titles combined in the BWF International Challenge and Series as well as the BWF World Tour. Vittinghus was a member of the winning Denmark team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in China.
