INDONESIA TOPS INDIA BEHIND JONATAN TO WIN GROUP C
Indonesia got past India behind men’s singles world No.3 Jonatan Christie to beat the defending Thomas Cup champions in Chengdu, China.
HS Prannoy gave India an early winning start with a 13-21, 21-12, 21-12 win over Anthony Ginting.
But Indonesia responded behind Shohibul Fikri and Bagas Maulana, as they defeated S Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, 24-22, 22-24, 21-19, to tie it at 1-all.
Jonatan gave Indonesia the decisive 2-1 lead by pulling off a 21-18, 16-21, 21-17 decision over Lakshya Sen.
Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin won it for Indonesia after their 22-20, 21-11 win over Dhruv Kapila and Sai Pratheek.
Chico Aura Dei Wardoyo completed Indonesia’s domination by posting a 19-21, 24-22,21-14 victory over Kidambi Srikanth.

DENMARK EDGE MALAYSIA TO ENSURE THOMAS CUP SEEDING
Denmark went into some tight moments before edging Malaysia, 3-2, to get a quarterfinals seeding.
World No.1 Viktor Axelsen overpowered Lee Zii Jia, 21-16, 24-22, in the first men’s singles match of the tie.
Malaysia responded behind Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who beat Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, 17-21, 21-17, 21-16.
Anders Antonsen gave the Danes the 2-1 edge with a 21-14, 21-10 win over Leong Jun Hao.
Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzudin Rumsani defeated Rasmus Kjaer and Frederik Sogaard, 23-21, 22-20, to tie it at 2-all.
World No. 26 Rasmus Gemke used his experience to top 20-year-old Justin Hoh, 21-13, 19-21, 21-13, to win it for Denmark.
GERMANY ENDS CAMPAIGN ON WINNING NOTE, BEATS CZECH REPUBLIC
Germany ended its Group B campaign on a winning note after notching a 3-2 victory over the Czech Republic.
Jan Louda opened the tie with a 21-18, 21-9 win over Fabian Roth to five Czech Republic the 1-0 start.
Jin Kral matched his teammate Louda’s effort after pulling off a 21-15, 17-21 22-20 decision over Matthias Kucklitz to make it 2-0.
Kenneth Neumann and Marvin Seidel posted a 21-17, 21-10 win over Adam Mendrek and Tomas Svejda to save Germany’s campaign.
Samuel Hsiao pulled off a 21-15, 21-19 triumph over Dominik Kopriva to tie it.
Bjarne Geiss and Jan Colin Voelker beat Jiri Kral and Ondrej Kral, 20-22, 21-19, 21-18, to win it for Germany.
However, their efforts were not enough as Germany placed third in Group B with a 1-2 record.
