CHRISTIE BOUNCES BACK AFTER LOSING TO SHI, BEATS NARAOKA
Christie bounces back after losing to home favorite Shi Yu Qi of China on opening day by beating Naraoka, 21-12, 21-11.
Furthermore, the Indonesian shuttler scored 12 of the next 15 points to claim the opening set.

But the Indonesian took the last five points of the match over his Japanese rival to seal the deal.
It was a crucial win for Christie, who fell short against world No.1 Shi, 21-16, 17-21, 21-8, on Wednesday.

Shi, after beating Christie a day earlier, became the first shuttler to reach the men’s singles semifinals.
It was a tough loss for Kunlavut, who was eyeing for his second win himsel after he defeated Naraoka, 24-22, 21-18, on opening day.
The Thai shuttler will need to beat Christie in his final Group B match on Friday to advance to the semifinals.
ZII JIA STUNS ANTONSEN; YAMAGUCHI UPSETS SE YOUNG IN WOMEN’S MATCHUP
Furthermore, Lee Zii Jia snagged a semis berth among the men after he stunned world No.2 Anders Antonsen of Denmark, 21-14, 21-19.
Moreover, Malaysia’s world No.8 came back from 13-7 and 17-14 deficits to close out Antonsen.
Zii Jia must beat world No.6 Li Shi Feng from the host country in his final group match on Saturday to advance.

Yamaguchi negated her 19-21, 17-21 loss to Han Yue with an impressive performance to upset South Korea’s top ranked women’s shuttler in 71 minutes.
